Understanding your home care costs can be daunting; that’s why we try to keep it simple.
We understand how stressful it can be organising home care for yourself or a loved one. That’s why we’ll aim to keep things as simple and straightforward as possible when it comes to costs.
Depending on your needs, home care costs will vary. Visiting care is charged at an hourly rate with live-in care, or “24-hour care”, quoted on either a daily rate for short-term respite or a weekly rate for ongoing care. We can discuss the level of care that is right for you and whether the cost of home care is financially sustainable for you and your family.

Our customers place their trust in us due to our commitment to:
Upfront and transparent
We’re fully upfront about our home care costs – you’ll only pay whatever is agreed in your care plan, so no hidden fees or long notice periods.
Not a care agency
Maxim Care Services are a private care provider rather than a care agency, which means you don’t have to worry about agency fees or retainers.
We accept direct payments
If you’re receiving funding through social services and have opted for direct payments, we’re able to accept top-ups to these payments.

Am I eligible for financial assistance to cover my care expenses?
In England, the threshold above which you’ll have to pay for your care in full is £23,250.
If your assets, including most investments and savings, are greater than £23,250, your local authority will consider you able pay for your care yourself. It is worth noting that for integrated care within your own home, the value of your property will not be taken into account.
If you’re uncertain about your status, you can request a Financial Assessment from your local council to see if you qualify for help towards your care costs. Your assessment will be an evaluation of your financial means, and will calculate whether:
Your local council pays for all of your care costs.
Your local council pays for some of your care costs.
You the individual will be paying for all of your care costs.

Self funding home care
The majority of our families are paying for their care privately. We appreciate that this isn’t always straightforward for every customer, so we can sit down with you and your loved ones to work out a care plan and payment plan that allows you to receive the support you really need at the times when you’d find it most beneficial. And, of course, your care can always be adapted whenever your needs or preferences change.

Benefits can help with care costs
You may be eligible for benefits which can help towards the cost of your care.
When considering your best options for funding care, it’s important to ensure that all state benefit entitlements are explored. The benefits available to you will depend on your personal situation and needs, and can help you pay for the support you need.
